What a year it has been. Seems like one right after another I have heard of someone who impacted my life dying. John MacArthur was 85. Charlie Kirk was 31. Voddie Baucham was 56. They all died this year and they all impacted my life in one way or another.
I never preached with any of them. Never spoke at any event where they were at. The closest place you will find any of our names together is on the website that Three Sixteen Publishers has for LSB Endorsements. There, along with many other names, you will find:

I never submitted my endorsement so I could be on the same page as these men. I submitted my endorsement because I love the Word of God and because the LSB is a solid translation. Looking back I am thankful to know they also did the same.
And now, they all finished well. Their ministries were all different, but they died with their boots on. As I think of this, what does it mean for us? What does it mean for me? Few of us will ever have the platforms these men had but we have some work to do.
In God’s kingdom, there’s no work or church that’s too small or insignificant but it’s a fact that our lives have an expiration date. What are you doing with what you have been given? Are you ready to meet the Lord? As the people of God, whenever it’s our turn to go home, may we be found faithful in whatever work we are doing for Him!
“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:6-8, LSB)
May God be pleased to raise up many more men who’ll run the race and finish well! It’s not all about the years of your life but the Life in your years!
