Christian bookstores have gone the way of the dinosaurs in many communities, so when I know of a good one that is still in existence I try my best to support them. In King, North Carolina there is one that I have known about for many years. It’s a family owned business known as Gullion’s Christian Supply Center and Homeschool Headquarters. They actually have two locations in the area – one in King and the other in Statesville. My family and I live in Georgia, but my daughter and I recently made a trip to Ohio and we stopped by King on our way through.

While I have spent a lot of money in there through the years buying many commentaries, books, homeschool materials, and Bibles, for this trip we simply wanted to get our names printed on a few Bibles. I had a stack of Bibles I had purchased other places. Some belonged to my daughter, some were mine, and some belonged to my wife. The thing is, Gullions only sells King James Bibles and most of our Bibles we had were Legacy Standard Bibles.
I wasn’t sure if they would print our names on them, so I went to the counter and asked the lady there if they would be offended to print our names on our Legacy Standard Bibles. She smiled and said, “Not at all!” The price was $6.00 per Bible.
Here is a picture of some of the Bibles I had them do that day. I think they did a great job:

They were very professional, and extremely Christian in their attitude towards us. I did not try to bind their conscience on the issue, and they did not try to bind mine either. I can respect King James Preferred, or even King James Only…..it’s the “King James Angry” that I have hard time with. These folks have a great Christian attitude, and run a great business. If you’re ever in the area, check them out. They have a great selection of new and used books and the people there are fantastic!
You can find them online too. https://www.gullions.com
May God bless their business for many more years!
