I love my Logos Bible Study Software, and one of the features I use almost every day is a feature that doesn’t get much attention in other blogs and tutorials. This tool is the “Copy Bible Verses” tool.
It is accessed two ways. One way is through the tools menu within the Logos Software as seen here:
However, I usually just employ the keyboard shortcut from any program (as long as Logos is running on my computer). Using Mac, Shift+Cmd+J will do the trick. On a Windows computer, Ctrl+Alt+B is the keyboard shortcut to use.
In the following screenshots I am using a MacBook Pro, and Pages is my Word Processor of choice. You will see the options available in the style formatting. If the default formats do not fit your needs, you can even make your own.
The second choice to make is the Bible translation. Unless you come from a very strict KJVO tradition, it is handy to be able to switch translations very easily. My default translation (LSB) shows at the top of the list followed by my other top Bibles, but I can use any Bible I have purchased within my Logos database.
The tool is compatible with multiple word processors:
You can click “Copy and Paste” to insert into the document you want. As seen below, I like to have my text in my sermon notes.
But this tool will work even for programs not listed. For example, if I want to paste a couple of verses into this blog post, instead of clicking “copy and paste,” I will enter my verses in (separated by a comma since I am wanting two verses) and then click “copy” as shown here:
And this is the result:
Romans 8:4 (LSB)
4so that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 13:14 (LSB)
14But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

A very powerful time saving tool!
