“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come.”
(Matthew 24:14)

On Friday, December 12, 2025, my wife and I had the honor of attending SermonAudio’s 25th Anniversary Dinner which was held at Bob Jones University in Greenville SC. Through the years I have benefited from SermonAudio, beginning back when I was pastor in Mansfield Ohio and paid for the service out of my own pocket. In March 2021, my family and I moved to Brunswick Georgia so I could pastor Sovereign Grace Baptist Church and under my leadership, the church signed up for SermonAudio. It was an easy choice – they were already familiar with it – they had it before when another pastor was here.
During those years that we have used SermonAudio, if someone walked into a church service and we asked where did you find us, if they said online it was most always through SermonAudio. With options of being able to watch video, listen to audio, use it on the TV app, or the phone app, or the web browser, there are many ways to find us and their services keep growing.
So, when I say it was an honor to attend – I really mean it. Yes, there is a fee we pay every month. But it is worth every penny. Sure, you can find our sermons on other platforms, but none of them care about the truth of God’s Word and the furtherance of the gospel like SermonAudio does. Steven Lee started a good work in the year 2000 and I am glad to see it continue to grow. SermonAudio easily is the best missionary expense we have each year.
There were over 200 people in attendance that evening – some of these were individuals who had been broadcasting or partnering with SermonAudio since the beginning 25 years ago! The room had a wide variety of Christian men and women – Calvinists and Arminians, Presbyterians, and Baptists. There were representatives from several different universities , seminaries, and colleges as well as ministries from all over the county. We were all celebrating the anniversary and success of SermonAudio. Although there were and are obvious differences among us, contrary to what we see so often on social media, we were able to get along for the sake of the gospel without any issues. As we sat around the table enjoying the evening and each other’s company, I couldn’t help but think times like that are about as close to heaven as we’ll get here in this world. I always enjoy being with God’s people and this was a true joy.
They sure fed us well. We had salad, prime rib, chicken, asparagus, potatoes, and a table full of desserts. And there were people to recognize, and very nice words spoken by many who attended.

If you had the opportunity to be there and didn’t go, you really missed out. Together, we were able to watch The Story of SermonAudio. It’s available online now. If you have never seen it, you should watch it. The documentary was very well done, telling the story of Steven Lee and SermonAudio.
Released, too, on Friday was Global Sermons – a truly revoluionary feature which allows broadcasters of SermonAudio to translate any sermon from any language into any other language using the latest in Artificial Intelligence technology. Absolutely remarkable!
At the end of the program, we sung Psalm 100 together and dismissed with prayer. Afterward, we were given a tour of The Vault. I have been to Greenville 4 or 5 times since we moved to Brunswick and I have wanted to visit this on many occassions, but it never worked out, so this was very exciting to me. Here’s some pictures I took from that tour:

Cassette tapes were the source of the early sermons that were uploaded to SermonAudio. Likewise, many of the old sermons I have placed on our page from my grandfather and other older preachers came from cassette tapes.

Listeners all over the world can hear our sermons at any time. Just to give you a small snapshot, our little church had 25,106 total plays reaching 52 countries in 2024 on SermonAudio. We may never know the impact we have had for the kingdom this side of heaven because of SermonAudio and the technology we are blessed with in this generation.

Much could be said about The Vault. I fear many do not understand the how the internet or the cloud works. But one thing that excites me about Steven Lee and SermonAudio is when we upload to their platform, our sermons are free from cancel culture – no longer at the whims of politics or culture. Our God is the ultimate preserver of His Word and His church but we – all of us – have responsibility for what we do and how we handle what we have been given. In a digital world, this is great. I am glad I was able to see it, and I am thankful this is a available for us.
But none of this would have been possible without a young man who had an idea and acted on that idea to the glory of God. So, in closing, I just want to say thank you to Steven Lee! Congratulations on a job well done. It was a joy to finally see the facility there but a bigger joy to meet you. I count you as a brother and a friend to God’s people everywhere. I appreciate SermonAudio so much! It was a joy to be in Greenville for the 25th Anniversary Dinner. We are continuing to pray for you and the team there. Please pray for us as well. Keep up the great work you do! It is my prayer that our God will grant you and the team many more years of success and until Christ returns or calls us home may we always be faithful to Him!

Love this!
